It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of October already! We had a great visit with our mentor and friend, Dr. John Woodward, as he spoke to the pastors during the Soul Care conference at America’s Keswick. The new director of Grace Fellowship International, Rob Clogg, and his wife Dottie were also at Keswick during that time. It was great to see them on our “home turf” and get to know them better. Joe was asked to give a “confirming” testimony during one of the sessions to show how the message of Galatians 2:20 changed his life.
We just completed teaching a conference in beautiful West Davenport, NY, at the West Davenport Free Church. We had taught the GFI conference there last Spring with John Woodward, but this was our first time of “flying solo” (or should I say flying duet?). We entitled the conference Walking It Out: Grace-filled Living in a Trouble-filled World. The response was very encouraging. If your church would be interested in hosting a similar conference, please let us know.
Love Them To Life, the support ministry to mothers of addicts, is expanding as new churches reach out to hurting mothers in their area. America’s Keswick is hosting an LTTL group on Monday nights that has had 12 women attend. It has been a joy and a growing experience for me (Cherri) to facilitate the group and to be able to share God’s love with these women who are in the midst of very difficult circumstances. I am very grateful for the artwork of my sister, Judee Dickinson, that so clearly represents the mother-child relationship.
We will be speaking to a youth group in Morrisville, PA, on Nov 2 and then will be headed down to Pigeon Forge for the GFI conference, where we will both be teaching a session. Joe will be speaking at Sonrise Community Church in Somers Point, NJ, on Nov 23. We have a great relationship with the pastor, Chris Gregas, who read Handbook to Happiness many years ago and has been teaching the Exchanged Life message ever since. Joe also continues his counseling ministry at the Colony of Mercy, filling in for chaplains who are on vacation or ill. He has had tremendous response from the guys – many have requested additional time with him.
Raising support is an ongoing need of ours. We are so grateful for the many people who have come alongside us with prayer and financial support but we still have a need for ongoing donations.- Donations can be sent to Grace Fellowship International, PO Box 368, Pigeon Forge, TN 37868. Please be sure to include Joe and Cherri Freeman support on the memo line. Donations can be sent online through the GFI website, “donate” page. www.GraceFellowshipInternational.com or by phone at 888.66GRACE.
